The office of waterbearer started in (need date) by the hard work of Mistress
Hillary Greenslade. It was under the office of Chirugeon. At one point, we had kingdom level deputy Waterbearers. But in (need
date) the BoD decided that the office was superfluous and that it didn't need to be an official office. Never-the-less, the
service of these gentles still stands and many a combatant and some spectators owe the waterbearers a great debt for not allowing
them to get heat stroke. At some point in time I would love to hear the story of the rise and fall of the waterbearers from
Mistress Hillary herself and then chronicle it here for future knowledge.
